I knew this year would start off well the moment I found out my boyfriend, who lives half way across the country in Pennsylvania, booked his plane tickets for Oklahoma to spend New Year’s with me.These last couple months, I had been anxiously awaiting his arrival after not seeing him in person since August. I would be lying if I told you that it hasn’t been extremely rough being separated by that much land for four months, but we have said it from the beginning and I will say it now “It is so worth it.”
I am a woman of words, but there is something powerful about photography. So, I will simply say that we enjoyed a beautiful New Year’s Eve in Bricktown. Here’s my proof <3
In between my sets, Connor got up in front of everyone and he made the most beautiful speech (causing me to cry cry cry). Then, he did something that has changed my entire life. He got down on one knee, in front of my parents, many members of SWAN, a few of my dearest friends, and his entire family and a few of his dearest friends (via Skype), and he asked me to marry him.
I cannot explain how incredibly blessed I am to have this man in my life, let alone to now be able to call him my fiancé! He constantly amazes me. I have never known a man who is so loving, caring, and endlessly good. He is a lover of God above all else, and is the most supportive, encouraging human being on this planet. I am honored to someday be his bride…
