Things have kind of gotten away from me in regards to The 52 Project. I hate having to admit that! But life happens, and I have come to the conclusion that my only two options from here are either 1. To give up on The 52 Project completely. Maybe try it again next year? OR 2. Restructure The 52 Project so that I can finish strong (even if it is after the original due date). For the simple fact that quitting would leave a permanent bad taste in my mouth, I am going with option two. Soooo....what does that mean exactly?
Well, basically I have decided to kind of just pick up where I left off, and end sometime in April of 2016. It is much later than I had anticipated, but I will get done. I will finish this project! It will most definitely be more difficult than it has been before. This semester is going to be really busy for me. I am starting my first week of work at Starbucks today, and I know that having a day job is going to complicate some things for my music. I also know that I am very stubborn and I refuse to give up. So, this week, I am reestablishing The 52 Project into my weekly life. So, you can expect more music, more covers, more videos, more gigs, more of pretty much everything. I'm ready for this lull to be over. I have been kind of in a slump musically...and I'm done with it. Sometimes, you just have to pull yourself out of the depths of your slumpiest slump because waiting for it to end naturally could keep you waiting forever.
Next week, you can expect a video of one of my favorite songs that I've written. And for the rest of September, you can expect at least one gig every weekend. So, stay tuned, and I will see you all soon!
