(During the last couple of weeks, these yellow wild flowers have popped up along the side of the road. Today, I finally got a chance to take some home with me. <3)
This week has been very busy and very wonderful. My fiance has been in town since last Wednesday, and let me tell you...there is nothing sweeter than being with the person you love...IN PERSON! Soon, this will be our everyday life, this eating-too-much, picking-wild-flowers, watching-movies-until-we-fall-asleep, laughing-until-we-can't-breath thing and I cannot wait! I am the luckiest lady in all the world!
Anyway, I wanted to take a moment to mention that today is the first day of Fall! (Which, if you're in Oklahoma, you may not believe because it's still in the 80's). You all know that I love new beginnings, fresh starts, starting over, renewing, and revitalizing, and for me, that's what a new season brings. I am about half-way through this semester of college, and I don't know about you, but I need to remember to breath deep sometimes. I love being busy and having a ton of things that I'm doing, but the balancing act can be challenging...especially if you forget to let yourself hunt for wildflowers, and eat some ice cream at the Fair. I've been in a kind of lull with my music lately, but falling in love with wildflowers on the side of the road makes me fall in love with music all over again. This world can be really beautiful if you let it.
It's one of the first upbeat songs I have written in awhile, so I'm excited to share it with you!!
